SSK baseball gloves are a very popular model of glove in Japan as well as countries outside the U.S.A. They aren't as well known here in the states, because the company actually originated in Japan.

Starting out as baseball uniform producers in Japan in the 1950s, SSK (standing for Kyozo Sasaki, the name of it's founder) has evolved into a producer of very high qualiy gloves as well as a few models of maple wood bats, including fungos.
Although I have never used an SSK baseball glove, I have read that they are constructed very well with excellent craftmanship. SSK is responsible for creating the dimple design on the leather pocket of the glove. They are one of the leading brands of models used in the Japan professional leagues. Many major league ballplayers in the U.S. also endorse the use of the company's products as well.
From the research I've done, it appears that you can only purchase the top of the line models of SSK gloves in Japan, but there are some mid-range models available to us here in the U.S. A couple of the models are listed below from Baseball Express.

There also appears to be somewhat of a decent selection available from eBay.
Also you can create custom SSK baseball gloves desigend specifically to your specifications at CustomGloves.com. This is a pretty neat website that allows you to completely design your own glove.
