Although I have never used any Rawlings baseball bats, I have no doubt that their bats are of very high quality. I know many players who do use them, and have had much success and satisfaction.
The latest of the high-end Rawlings bats is the Fusion. Like many of the other baseball bat manufacturers, the Fusion flexes at the handle, to produce the whipping effect. It also uses a few other highly advanced technologies, discussed below.

This is basically a ring around the bat at about the halfway point that conducts the energy transfer between the handle and barrel. It also blocks much of the vibration to the handle, to dampen the sting effect when contact is made.
This is a shell that surrounds the barrel of the bat, that is made of a substance they call LiquidMetal. They claim that it is twice as strong as titanium, and is supposed to produce an extraordinary amount of trampoline effect when the ball is hit. I would have to agree that it does, because I’ve seen what these bats can do.

The technology used in the Rawlings baseball bats appears to rank right up there with the other top dogs of bats like Easton and Louisville. I wouldn’t hesitate to try one out if I were you. Retail prices appear to be right round the $250 mark for the Fusion in the adult model. The youth models appeared to be right in the $150-180 range. In my opinion, these are not bad prices when compared to what stores charge for the high-end Easton and Louisville bats. And you’re still getting a very good product with Rawlings.
