Mizuno baseball gloves design
and technology

Mizuno baseball gloves are among the finest in the game today. The first glove I ever had, way back when I started T-Ball was a Mizuno, and I still own it today. In fact, my little cousin uses it in his T-Ball games, and it is still in great shape. They are of super quality, and I would have no trouble recommending any of them to anyone.

There are a few series' of Mizuno gloves such as Classic Pro, MVP, Slider, etc. Each series of gloves utilizes different designs and features, designed specifically for different positions. Each uses different various technologies.

3D and 4D Tehnology

This is very interesting. If you’ve read my article on the history of baseball gloves, you’ll know that gloves have historically been designed to fit the hand, but not necessarily on how the ball is caught in mind. Mizuno has researched how players from different positions catch the ball, and designed gloves for those specific positions. For instance, infielders use more of their fingertips, while outfielders use their middle, ring, and pinky fingers to catch the ball.

Softhands

Gloves with this technology have no loopholes for the thumb, allowing more comfort and freedom for thumb movement. I like this because I personally don’t like thumb loops anyway.

Power Close

This is to allow youngsters to be able to close their gloves more easily. If you’ve ever bought a brand new glove, you know that they are just a wee bit stiff when you take it home. Some young players need help in being able to close the gloves before they are broken in, because their hand strength usually isn’t great enough to do it on their own.

Summary

Mizuno baseball gloves are some of the best in the game. Always try on a Mizuno glove or two when making your selection. And check out their website, so you can take advantage of their research, and get a glove specific to your position.
