Both of the Miken models for this year are new. They are the MV3 Composite, and the MV3 Hybrid.

MV3 Composite

The MV3 Composite model is a one piece, all composite design. The technologies used in this bat are Miken's Inner Flex, which is supposed to have optimized the amount of flex in the barrel. The 100 Comp is the name they've given to their composite technology meaning that the bat is made with a high quality aerospace grade fiber. The name that Miken has given to the resin they use is MPa7.

Miken is obviously showing the utmost confidence in this model with the adult model retailing for $400 like other major competitors. Senior league models are $300, and youth are $250.

MV3 Hybrid

The MV3 Hybrid is obviously a hybrid model that uses the same Inner Flex technology and MPa7 resin that was used in the composite model above for the handle. However, the Hybrid uses what is called R900 carbon fiber that is used in aerospace applications and is supposed to provide strength that is unmatched anywhere else in the industry. They claim it has 38% higher tensile strength, and 40% higher elongation than the industry standard.

The barrel is made of something they just call their "Tempered Alloy." The website doesn't not go into too much detail behind the technology behind this alloy.

The hybrid model is more affordable with the adult version running at the $300 mark, the senior model at the $250, and the youth model at $200.

Summary

Check out Miken's official website for more information.

The marketing angle for Miken is that their aerospace grade composite material produces one of the strongest bats in the game.

Reviews for the MV3 Composite seem to make it out to be a very hot bat. However there are some that say the senior league model tends to break easily. For the most part however, the 2011 Miken baseball bats don't have too much of a reputation on the web as of July, 2010, so we are yet to see if their models will turn into major players in the composite or hybrid markets.
