If you are looking to buy, I always recommend looking on eBay for your bats first, then checking Baseball Express. You can usually pick up good bat deals for cheap on eBay, much cheaper than retail prices. If eBay doesn't have what you're looking for, Baseball Express should have it. Below you can see the live auctions as well as links to the products at Baseball Express.
The Easton Stealth IMX is a 2-piece, all composite bat. It uses Easton's IMX, or Integrated Matrix Technology composite material. This is an aerospace grade fiber that is layered and angled a certain way that provides a big barrel and sweet spot. It uses Easton's ConneXion, or CXN technology. This means that since it is a 2-piece bat, there is a connection between the handle and barrel. Carbon Nanotube Technology (CNT), is a technology that highly strengthens the resin. It is also used in aerospace applications.
With Easton's bat rating system, here is the breakdown on the Stealth IMX bat, with 0 the least, and 100 the most possible.
Basically, the Stealth IMX has a large sweet spot and is relatively barrel heavy. The swing weight is somewhat high, so it may feel a little heavier compared to Easton's other bats. The flexibility is average, and you should expect minimal vibration on contact.
The Stealth Ozone is a 2-piece model with a composite handle and aluminum alloy barrel. This is what we call a "hybrid" model, since it is composed of 2 different materials.
It uses "Ozone" technology, or Optimal Hitting Zone. The barrel is thickened at the taper and end cap to create a sort of trampoline near the sweet spot. This should increase exit speed when the ball hits the bat. It also uses CXN technology like the Stealth IMX.
This bat uses an older alloy from Easton, the Sc900. This was the alloy used in all of the 2008 models. This model is only available at Baseball Express according to their website.
