Easton bats are among the best in all of baseball today. I have used countless bats from Easton throughout my career, and honestly believe that they make the best bats the game has to offer. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any ballplayer.

The latest and greatest of the Easton bats is the new Stealth model (pictured below). It incorporates all of their new top of the line technologies. An interesting thing that Easton has done is come out with a bat that flexes or bends between the handle and the barrel. This creates a whipping effect, when the bat is swung, which helps create more bat speed.
This is the latest and probably the most advanced technology currently used by any bat manufacturer today. First of all, nanotechnology is the study of molecules and matter on an extremely small scale. When I say small, I mean like one millionth of a millimeter. An example of this is about 10,000 times smaller than a human hair. Carbon nanotubes are extremely small cylindrical molecules of carbon that make up what is probably the strongest material known to man. In fact, baseball bats are the least of what this technology is used for. It is currently being implemented in the latest and up to date electronics, aerospace applications, and more.
So how is this technology used in Easton bats? They disperse these carbon nanotubes throughout the resin that is used in the bats. So basically, what you end up with is a bat made out of the strongest material ever known or may very well ever be known to man. This allows for a bigger "sweet spot" on the bat.
Easton has formed a new technology in baseball bat design, whereby rather the bat being all one single piece, they have taken two separate pieces of aluminum and mechanically weaved and interlocked them together. There is a “hinge” at the start of the barrel, separating the barrel from the handle.
This is supposed give the bat more of a whip characteristic to increase bat speed and power. It also is supposed to decrease vibration on the hands when contact is made.
The top of the Easton bats use composite material rather than aluminum. Aluminum has the same strength in all directions, which doesn't allow for any flex. However, the top of the line Stealth bat is made out of composite material, which allows them to customize the flex in the bat.
First of all, an alloy is a combination of two or more elements, of at least one of which is metal. The Sc900™ is claimed to be the strongest alloy in the game. It is a combination of aluminum, scandium, zinc, copper, and magnesium, and is 10% stronger than their previous Sc888™ alloy.
What does this mean? First, it means a stronger bat all around, which translates into stronger performance. Second, it means higher resistance to cracks. Bat cracking happens all the time to aluminum bats, often times going undetected until they get out of hand. I know because I have ended up cracked every aluminum bat I have used in the last few years.
Previous
alloys developed by Easton include the Sc777™, the 7050™
Aircraft Alloy, and the 7046™ Alloy.

Easton bats make the best bats in the game. However, like anything in life, the best always comes with a price. A quick look at Google Checkout Stores reveals that the BCN4 Stealth Comp CNT, which is THE top of the line bat made by Easton in the adult category, comes in at $350. The same bat in the youth model comes in at $230, and $270 in the senior league category. You may or may not have the budget for one of these top of the line bats. Keep in mind that you can still get a good quality bat, by going down a grade or two. For instance, a look at prices for the BT250 ConneXion Comp, which is an adult bat, but a couple notches down from the Stealth, only costs $200. This is still a quality bat for a little more than half of the Stealth. You be the judge on how much you wish to invest. I've said it before and I'll say it again. A bat does not make a hitter.
