Do you know anything about Big League Eyes vision training aid?

Do you know if adding color to the Small Ball drill really works like Harold Reynolds says that it does on MLB Diamond Demo?

The product and the link to Harold Reynolds demonstrating the drill is at:

Thank you!

Thanks for your question! I think anything that improves your ability to track the ball with your eyes as the ball gets closer is a good aid.

First of all, I have not used the Big League Eyes. I am working on getting me some so that I may test them out and give an honest review.

As per the comments of some others, some say that there is a possibility that you could accomplish the same thing with a strong set of permanent markers, but I can't swear by that either. The good thing about the product is that they are dirt cheap, so it's not going to set you back much to give them a shot. It does look like some people have been pleased with the products vs. the marker idea. Let me know if you try them, and post a review.

Thanks!

Brandon:

Answering your question on Baseball-Fever, "Anyone used Big League Eyes", here's an independent review. There's also discussion by someone that's tried Sharpies. Looks like Sharpies are good for indoor use only. If the ground has dew, the colors will ruin.

I Tried the Markers
by: Anonymous

Well coach, we tried using Sharpie markers (which aren't cheap). Went outside, hit the balls with my son, and the Harold Reynolds drill certainly works great!

The only problem was, after about 8 or 9 rounds of hitting them in the grass, the colors all smeared and made a big mess. Now I have a bucket full of balls that look like someone water-colored. The ground wasn't even wet and the colors came off -- gawd!
