The
2009 CF3 Black is a 1 piece, all composite bat design. It uses the
DeMarini "Pitch Black" composite material. The Pitch Black material is
supposed to be a much tighter composite that all other competitors,
making it much stronger. Tighter means that the carbon material used in
the compoiste is woven together vertically and horizontally, and this
makes it much stronger and powerful.
The CF3 also uses DeMarini's Doublewall Barrel technology to
maximize the sweetspot, while using some of the thinnest barrel walls
possible with the composite material.

The
2009 Voodoo baseball bat uses a composite handle, but uses DeMarini's
SC4 aluminum alloy for the barrel, making it a 2 piece hybrid model.
The handle is composed of the same Pitch Black composite material that
is used in the CF3.
The SC4 alloy is "Thickness Tuned" to match ball and bat
collision and is supposed to provide a large sweet spot. They also
claim that this is one of the thinnest aluminums possible.

The
Vendetta bat uses the SC4 alumunum alloy for the barrel, but is just a
singlewall. It is also a hybrid model that uses a technology called
"Rails" for the handle. It is actually a 2 piece handle only, that
features a flexible handle interior, with a reinforced outer frame.
Like most other technology, this is supposed to help provide a larger
sweet spot.

The
last of the 2009 DeMarini bats is the Vexxum. It is the 2 piece
aluminum barrel, and composite handle model. It uses the SC4 alloy for
the barrel which is supposed to be 12% stronger than the DX 1 alloy
used in the 2008 Vexxum. The handle is made up of their C6 composite
material.
