2009 Anderson Baseball Bats

Here you'll find a review of the 2009 Anderson baseball bats. They include two youth, one senior league, and one adult model. Anderson makes all aluminum models known as the Pyrotech, which is available in all three categories, and the Techzilla, only available in the youth category. Let's take a look at the technology used in both models.

Techzilla Review

Anderson Techzilla XPThe Techzilla XP youth model is an aluminum multi-wall design. It uses what they call Power-Arch Technology, which uses a series of opposing arches to capture the kinetic energy of bat and ball collision that is usually lost to vibration. The archs are aligned along the inside of the barrel and spaced at specific intervals to help improve the barrel's strength and elasticity.

They also use what is called their Taper Flex technology, meaning that instead of claiming they have more or less flex than the competition, it has just the right amount for optimal performance.

Pyrotech Review

Anderson Pyrotech Bat15The second of the two Anderson baesball bats is the Pyrotech, which is available in youth, senior league, and adult categories. The main difference between this and the Techzilla is that it only uses a single wall barrel. The main technology used in the Pyrotech model is the Energy Loading System (ELS). It is said to harness the energy from the vibration on contact, and transfer it to the ball.

Summary

All of the Anderson baseball bats use their Diamond Flex X-Treme Alloy, which is custom made in Europe. It uses a diamond-like zirconium material to help strengthen the aliminum while increasing the performance and durability.

Anderson's target market is mostly for softabll and youth baseball. I have heard some great things about these bats from parents of youth ballplayers. If you are looking for an aluminum model at a good price, Anderson should be included in your selection. As always, we'd love to hear any reviews you may have of any of the above models.
