2009 Nike Aero Torque (the all orange bat)

I recently bought this bat because on the barrel it said 35 mec, the highest collision ratio Nike makes. On all the websites I have seen selling this bat has it as a 30 mec, hence the price 199.00. I called Nike and they said it is possible some 2009 Aero Torques could be 35 mec. I hope thats true. Any body want to respond?

just an average bat

My son has had the bat for a few months now and is not all that impressed with it's hitting zone. He say's it has a small sweet spot and lacks pop. He has had some good hits off it when he does get a perfect hit but not as much as the hype would lead you to believe. It's an average bat.

Getting better

The bat is getting better as we've broken in a little. Got a little more pop than it used to. We'll know soon whether it lives up to the hype.

2009 Torque

The bat is great. Has just as much pop if not more than the 2008 model.(red and black) Grip is a little thick so I put a thinner one on (thats just my preference). Overall I give it a 9/10. You just have to get used to the end-loaded feel because the bat is a little top heavy. Also if anybody knows where to get a 2006 or 2007 Nike torque it would be great if you could post that.

Orange bat

Just bought one for my son. We took it batting practice and he liked the feel of the bat. I didn't think it had any more pop than other bats but it was brand new and needs a little breaking in before we'll know if it has great pop or not. We did compare the balance point of the bat to others and noticed the torque was slightly more end loaded than the Omaha.

I think many online sellers are copy / pasting last years ad copy. So, they say meC 30 instead of meC35. My son's bat says meC 35 also.
